Is it on the Spring Equinox 2021 in Northern Hemisphere will be at 2:37 AM?
Celebrate or Not Celebrate
Sirius is the sky’sbrightest one we see from Earth. Can this be true that Sirius is highest in the sky at midnight every New Year’s? See if you can witness midnight, by the way, we mean the middle of the night, that is, midway between sunset and sunrise the star Sirius can be seen. This star is in the western sky…Sirius will be highest up for the night around 10 p.m. eastern standard local time. Sirius at midnight culmination — highest in the sky around midnight, or midway between sunset and sunrise — every New Year’s Eve.
One of the many reasons New Year’s Day provides us the chance to celebrate having made it through another 365 days, the unit of time…but does New Year’s really comes on December 31th at midnight. Accordingly to most notable astronomers New Year’s Day, also simply called New Year, is observed on 1 January, the first day of the year on the modern Gregorian calendar as well as the Julian calendar. In pre-Christian Rome under the Julian calendar, the day was dedicated to Janus, god of gateways and beginnings, for whom January is also named.
Unfortunately, because of the global Covid-19 pandemic will make it a very different celebration this year, but the show will go on and the ball will still drop at Times Square in New York City as Ryan Seacrest hosts the 49th year of “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” on Thursday, December 31 (12/31/2020) and the world bids a less-than-fond past year. Seemly, like it’s a fitting time although the I suppose that the winter solstice is the real New year?I don’t really notice the increase in the daylight…or is the first day of spring is the official New Year’s according to nature and spring brings forth new plants and vegetation. Mum…a historical fact that on January 1st Officially Instituted as the New Year. In 46 B.C. Julius Caesar introduced a new, solar-based calendar, and not the almanac, further ancient Greeks, Mesopotamians and Romans all celebrated the new year on different days. Julius Caesar couldn’t standardize the day. Again, as it turns out that the new year wasn’t always on Jan. 1, and still isn’t in some cultures…so, I suggest that you personally do further research, and possibly you will find some reasons why you can’t keep your New Year’s resolutions…lol
